The terms, in plain language.
This is the agreement between you and Influence Design Studio when you order a 250Website build. It says the same things the rest of this site says — just in one place, and with the edges defined.
Last updated October 13, 2026.
1. What you're buying
The base package is a three-page website: a homepage with up to five content blocks and two interior pages with up to three blocks each, chosen from our block menu. It's mobile-responsive, includes a contact form routed to your email, basic on-page SEO (title tags, meta descriptions, Open Graph tags, sitemap, robots.txt, alt text), setup of a hosting account in your name (hosting fees not included), connection of a domain you own, one round of revisions, and a handoff package (login credentials, a short walkthrough video, and a one-page guide to making small text edits yourself).
Add-ons are priced individually (see How It Works). What we agree with you in writing, and the total on your invoice, is the scope of the project.
2. What we need from you
You supply the content: the copy for each block, your images, your logo if you have one, and the practical details the form asks for. You confirm that you own or have permission to use everything you send us. Images are uploaded through the project link you receive after payment — not emailed.
The build doesn't start until we have both your complete content and all of your images. If either is missing, the project waits.
3. Timing
Turnaround is five business days from the moment your intake and images are complete — not from payment. If you've bought rush delivery, it's two business days from that same moment. We'll confirm receipt within one business day and flag anything unclear before we begin.
4. Revisions
The package includes one round of revisions: a single, consolidated list of changes sent after you've reviewed the first draft. We implement that list once. Additional rounds are $50 each, agreed and paid before the work is done. Changes that add pages or blocks are priced as add-ons, not revisions.
5. What's not included
E-commerce, booking or scheduling systems, member logins or password-protected areas, multi-language sites, blog systems or content management platforms, migrations from complex existing sites, custom backend or database work, and third-party integrations beyond basic embeds. If your project turns out to need any of these, we'll tell you before money changes hands and either scope it separately through Influence Design Studio or part ways with a full refund.
6. Payment and refunds
The base package and any add-ons are paid in full, up front, by invoice. We currently accept Zelle.
If we review your intake and decide we can't take the project on, you get a full refund. If you change your mind before the build starts — that is, before we have your complete intake and images and begin work (see Timing, above) — you also get a full refund. Once the build has started, payment is non-refundable.
7. The Care Plan
The Care Plan is optional, billed monthly at $25 (or $250 for a year, paid up front), and covers up to 30 minutes of small edits per month, uptime monitoring, a quarterly check-in, and priority response within one business day. Unused minutes don't roll over. Larger work is billed at $60 per hour, quoted in advance. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and partial months aren't refunded.
8. Ownership
When the project is complete and paid, the website — its files and its design as adapted for you — is yours, and so are the hosting account and the domain, which are set up in your name and paid by you to those providers. You get a complete copy of the files at handoff. We keep the right to show the finished site in our portfolio and to mention you as a client, unless you ask us not to.
Starter templates, the block system, and anything else we reuse across projects remain ours.
9. Hosting, domains, and other people's services
We don't host websites. Your hosting provider, domain registrar, and payment processor are third parties under their own terms. We recommend them carefully and set them up correctly, but we don't control their uptime, pricing, or policies, and we're not responsible if they change. Hosting and domain fees are paid by you to those providers and aren't part of our price.
10. Limits of our responsibility
After handoff, the site is provided as it is on launch day. We'll fix genuine build defects reported within 14 days of launch at no charge. Beyond that, we're not liable for lost sales, lost data, downtime, or other indirect losses connected to the site, and our total liability for any project is limited to the amount you paid for it.
11. The boring but necessary parts
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in effect when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
